With a recent MA in Legal and Political Theory Ben is supporting the Embrace Team to develop a national values theory of change and undertake research for a forthcoming publication on global standards and practice of national values. As an intern, he takes part in supervised research immersing himself in core Embrace material supplemented by significant academic research and analysis.


Through his degrees, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON (UCL) –MA LEGAL AND POLITICAL THEORY (2017) UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE –BA POLITICS (2016) Ben has the developed the analytical skills to study the ethical content of public policy. He has engaged with a range of public policy issues from theories of democracy and citizenship, human rights, equality and social justice, and the ethics of counter-terrorism. At UCL he took a leading role in ‘Wednesday Seminars’ in political theory, and the Spring Term Colloquium in Legal Philosophy discussing critical questions with leading academics on both legal theory and political theory. His studies focused on the use of critical, oratorical, and analytical skills which he deploys effectively in his current role with Embrace, and will be integral to his career path. A critical thinker, able to develop coherent arguments, and express them lucidly in both oral and written form, Ben is a great asset to the team, quickly grasping the task and providing high quality research.
